Liverpool boy, 16, detained for drug row killing
A 16-year-old boy who killed another teenager in a fight over a cannabis deal has been given an indeterminate sentence for public protection (IPP).
Aaron Morris, 18, was stabbed seven times near his home in Anfield, Liverpool, on 12 October 2010. He died a few days later.
At Liverpool Crown Court, his attacker admitted manslaughter. The boy cannot be named for legal reasons.
Mr Justice Irwin, sentencing, described him as a "dangerous offender".
The boy, who has 11 previous convictions, was ordered to serve a minimum of two years and eight months before he can apply for parole.
