Beatles fans speak about Strawberry Fields gate removal

Help

The original gates at the Liverpool children's home which inspired The Beatles' anthem Strawberry Fields Forever have been put into storage.

The Salvation Army, which owns the former home, has replaced the Woolton site with 10ft (3m) high replicas.

The long-term future of the site, which closed in 2005, is yet to be determined but the charity hopes to develop a centre for children with learning disabilities.

Beatles fans have been giving their reaction.
