Man and woman bailed over Merseyside armed raids

A man, 30, and woman, 18, arrested over series of armed robberies in Merseyside have been released on police bail.

Police are still interviewing an 18-year-old man and three teenage boys.

A 13-year-old from Huyton is being held on suspicion of armed robbery at the All In One shop on Muirhead Avenue East in Norris Green on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old from Walton and a 14-year-old from Fazakerley, are in custody over robberies in Norris Green, Walton, Anfield and Orrell Park.

The three boys have been taken to police stations on Merseyside where they are being interviewed by detectives from the specialist Matrix team, set up to fight gun crime.

The All In One store was raided by four people who threatened staff with a shotgun and knife before taking cash.

A friend of the owner, Mani Mohan, 31, who had responded to a phone call for help from staff, was shot in the neck and chest.

He was taken to hospital with pellet wounds and was later discharged.
