Liverpool knife attack victim's condition improves
A 21-year-old man from Wirral who was left seriously injured in a knife attack in Liverpool city centre is now in a stable condition in hospital.
Police believe the man had been with a friend when they were approached by three men near the Mood Bar on Fleet Street where a fight broke out.
He was taken by ambulance to hospital in the early hours of Monday, initially in a critical condition.
Detectives are still trying to trace the men thought to be involved.
The first is white, about 18 to 21 years old, 5ft 8in tall and slim.
He is said to have an unusual walk and is pale with short ginger hair. He was wearing a light blue polo shirt.
The second man is described as being the same age and white, slim, with short brown hair and was wearing a grey polo shirt.
The third man is white, about 20 years old and slim with short brown hair and was wearing a light green polo shirt.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
