Man's body discovered on Liverpool university campus

A man's body has been discovered on the city centre campus of the University of Liverpool.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was found on Dover Street near Brownlow Hill at about 0200 BST by a man walking his dog.

Police are investigating the death which they have described as "unexplained".

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out by a Home Office pathologist later.

Officers said that they want to speak again to the man who discovered the body, and anyone else who was in the area between 0030 and 0200.
