Beatles-name burglar to 'reflect on his crimes in jail'

A burglar who shares his name with all four of the Beatles must "reflect on his crimes" in jail, police have said.

George John Paul Ringo Hughes, 18, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years after six burglaries in Prenton, Wirral.

Hughes, of no fixed address, was arrested on 4 July and jailed at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday.

Det Ch Insp Ian Hassall said: "We hope this sentence gives him time to reflect on his crimes and the upset he has caused his victims."
