Liverpool One stabbing: Boy arrested

A 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a boy in the leg in Liverpool city centre.

The 15-year-old was stabbed in a row with two other teenage boys in a shop on Paradise Street in the Liverpool One shopping area on Tuesday afternoon.

The teenager, from Hale Village, was taken to hospital where he received stitches in his upper left leg.

Merseyside Police said a teenager from Dovecot had been arrested on suspicion of wounding.

He is due to be questioned later.
