Drugs worth £1m seized in raids and three men held

Class A drugs with an estimated street value of £1m have been seized by police in raids in Merseyside and Lancashire.

Three men were arrested during operation Titan after a surveillance operation into drugs and gangs.

A 45-year-old man from Kirkby, Merseyside and a 28-year-old and a 37-year-old man, both from Skelmersdale, West Lancashire, are being questioned.

They are held on suspicion of conspiracy to import and supply drugs.

Det Supt Lee Halstead, leading the Titan investigation, said: "This operation will have had a significant impact on the availability of class A drugs in the North West.

"Drugs blight the lives of people in our communities and we are dedicated to dismantling the organised crime groups who prosper through other people's misery."
