Wallasey stabbing: Victim named as Anne Marie Cleary

A woman stabbed to death at a house in Merseyside has been identified by police as a 41-year-old mother-of-two.

Anne-Marie Cleary was found by paramedics in Oarside Drive, Wallasey, at just after 14:00 BST on Saturday.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detectives have been conducting a forensic examinations at the scene and house-to-house enquiries. A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be stab wounds.

Merseyside Police asked anyone with information to contact Birkenhead CID.
