Artwork by students is on show in Liverpool Lime Street Station.

The exhibition in the Virgin Trains first-class lounge features ceramic, silver and textile pieces by final year Liverpool Hope University students.

The display is part of a partnership between the university and Virgin Trains to showcase new talent.

Also on display is a design by Liverpool Hope masters student Sara Devoreux-Ward which features on the City of Liverpool Pendolino train.

Ms Devoreux-Ward, who graduated in Fine Art at Liverpool Hope University in 2010, hopes her success will inspire new university students.

She said: "To students about to embark on a creative journey, I would say that your time at university is short.

"Remember that you are learning to be an independent soul and that inspiration is closer than you think.

"Don't just think outside the box; pick it up, be curious, open it, flatten it, re-build it, stand tall upon it and you will move beyond success."
