A 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death at a house on Merseyside has been named by police.

Darren Brewster from Wallasey, Wirral, was attacked at an address on Corporation Street, Birkenhead, shortly before midnight on Thursday.

A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody, police said.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place later.
