Aintree pub arson: Six people charged after fires

Six people have been charged over a series of arson attacks on a pub at the edge of Aintree racecourse.

The Blue Anchor, in School Lane, Aintree, was hit by fire four times between March and July 2010.

Merseyside Police said five men and one woman had been charged with conspiracy to commit arson in connection with the fires.

All of them were due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates' Court on Friday afternoon.
