Liverpool Asda supermarket abduction mother traced

Police looking for a mother whose child was allegedly subjected to an attempted abduction in a Liverpool supermarket say the woman has been traced.

The woman was in Asda on Smithdown Road on 6 November when the incident involving two boys took place.

She reported it to a security guard but left the store without leaving her details.

Two boys from Merseyside, aged 11 and 12, were arrested and released on police bail.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said inquiries were ongoing.
