Woman killed by train at Waterloo station

A woman has been killed when she was hit by a train on Merseyside.

A British Transport Police said officers received a call around 16:30 GMT saying the woman had been hit at Waterloo Station.

Police and paramedics found the body of a woman, thought to be in her 60s, on the tracks.

The woman was hit by the Waterloo to Southport train. BTP said they were treating the death as unexplained but it was not thought to suspicious.
