Three bailed after man shot in West Derby

Three men who were arrested after a man was shot in the leg in Liverpool on Christmas Day have been released on bail.

Reports of shots being fired outside the West Derby pub in West Derby village were received at about 10:15 GMT, Merseyside Police said.

A 23-year-old man was later taken to hospital with a leg wound. His injury is not thought to be life threatening.

A fourth man, aged 23, from Liverpool is still being held in custody.

The men were all arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
