Man who died after Wirral bar attack named

Police have named a man who died after he was attacked in a Wirral bar.

Kenneth Wylde, 32, from Birkenhead, was attacked at The Wine Lodge in Charing Cross in the town on 10 February.

He was taken to hospital where he died a week later, on 17 February. Merseyside Police are now treating his death as murder.

A 32-year-old man who had previously been charged with assault has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned by police.

A 36-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and is in police custody.
