'Potentially lethal' drugs stolen from Liverpool hospital

Merseyside Police are investigating after drugs described as "potentially lethal" were stolen from Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

Five 200mg containers of the sedative phenobarbitone were found to be missing by staff on Sunday.

The drug is used as a treatment for epilepsy, but police have said it can be "extremely harmful or even fatal" if consumed in high quantities.

Officers have urged those with information to come forward.
