Eleven people have been charged after police raided homes on Merseyside in a crackdown on guns and gang crime.

The eight men and a woman are accused of several offences including unlawful possession of guns and drug dealing.

All were arrested in police raids in Croxteth, Fazakerley and Kirby on Thursday.

A woman, 39, held for a drug offence was issued with a fine and a 31-year-old man arrested on drugs charges was bailed pending further enquiries.
