Sia Soliola attack: Three accused of assault on St Helens star

Three door staff have been accused of assaulting St Helens rugby league player Sia Soliola outside a bar.

They are Christopher Rose, 33, of Hansby Drive, Speke , Lee Simpson, 24, of Newarth Drive, Lymm and Keiran Waters, 25, of St Chads Road, Chester.

The three were also charged with assaulting Saints youngster Carl Forster, the 19-year-old prop, in addition to utility player Soliola, 25.

All three were bailed to Knowsley Magistrates' Court on 13 June.

The rugby players were found injured outside the Imperial Bar in Ormskirk Street, St Helens, at 02:20 GMT on 12 March.

Kiwi international Soliola was treated for serious facial injuries.
