Dog walker critical after bicycle crash

A 66-year-old man is critically ill in hospital following a collision with a cyclist in Liverpool, police have said.

Emergency services were called to Princes Park, near Devonshire Road, Toxteth, just before midnight on Tuesday.

The man, who was walking his dog, suffered serious head injuries following the collision with a 29-year-old cyclist.

The cyclist was uninjured but shaken. Both people were taken to hospital.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the pedestrian or cyclist in the area before the collision to contact them.
