Stuart Smith murder: CCTV released of man with 'vital information'
CCTV images of a man police think has "vital information" about a Liverpool street murder have been released.
Stuart Smith, 33, from London, was found on Back Colquitt Street in the city centre at 02:45 BST on Sunday. He died in hospital a short time later.
Three men arrested inside Anfield stadium as they watched a match between Liverpool and Arsenal have been charged with murder.
Police do not believe the man pictured on CCTV was involved in the incident.
Joseph Walker, 27, of Pintail Way, Hayes, west London; Mark McEwen, 39, of Angel Park Gardens, Brixton, south London; and Michael Samuels, 39, from St James's Road, Croydon; are due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court later.
A fourth man arrested at the Sunday afternoon Premier League fixture was released without charge.
A post-mortem examination found Mr Smith died from serious neck and head injuries sustained during an assault.
Police believe at the time of the incident, the area would have been busy and people may have captured the attack on their mobile phones.
Det Insp Paul Mann of Merseyside Police, said: "I am extremely keen to speak to this man as we believe he may have information vital to this investigation.
"We do not believe he was involved in the incident and we would urge him or anyone who recognises him to contact us as a matter of urgency.
