A £30,000 reward is being offered by police looking for a man believed to have been involved in the murder of a father-of-three in Cheshire.

Wayne Basnett, 30, of Hough Green, was shot on Pepper Street, Hale Village, in December 2010.

Detectives want to speak to Christie O'Connor, 27, of Speke, Liverpool, in connection with his killing.

Michael Eves has already been charged with murder and is expected to stand trial in January.

Cheshire Police said Mr O'Connor had links to Liverpool, Spain, the Netherlands and other European countries.

The force is offering a reward of up to £30,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

Mr Basnett was shot in the head in the attack which took place in the Hough Green area of Widnes at about 01:00 BST on 22 December.

He was taken to hospital but died soon afterwards.
