Car stolen in Liverpool with baby boy in the back

A car was stolen in Liverpool with an 18-month-old boy asleep in a child seat in the back, police said.

Officers said a man parked his Vauxhall Vectra outside a property on Whinmoor Road, West Derby, at 12:15 BST while he delivered a package.

A man then jumped in the blue vehicle and drove away in the direction of Alder Hey Hospital.

The car was recovered near the hospital and the baby was unharmed. Merseyside Police are trying to find the culprit.
