Charge over pregnant woman attack in Liverpool

A 39-year-old has been charged with attempted murder and attempted child destruction after a pregnant woman was stabbed in the grounds of a school.

A woman, 28, was stabbed repeatedly at Lister Primary School in Green Lane, Stoneycroft, Liverpool on Thursday.

Andrea Dean, from Stoneycroft, was due to appear before magistrates earlier. She is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Police said the victim and her unborn baby were stable in hospital.

Christopher Dean, 39, of Stoneycroft, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the attack.
