Part of the Grafton Rooms building in Liverpool collapses
Part of a well-known entertainment venue in Liverpool collapsed overnight.
Firefighters were called to the Grafton Rooms building on West Derby Road at about 01:30 GMT.
A section of the front facia of the building and rubble had fallen into the street. It was made safe by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
There were no reports of injuries. The building, which is unoccupied, opened in 1924.
It was a dance hall and then because a popular nightclub where the Beatles played.
