Maghull shooting: Car found burnt out after attack

Shots were fired at a house on Merseyside from a car which was later found burnt out, police said.

The black S-Type Jaguar car pulled up outside a house in Parkbourn Square, Maghull, at about 00:15 GMT and shots were fired at the windows.

Police believe the car was stolen from Orchard Hey between 14:00 GMT and 22:00 GMT on Sunday.

The car was later found dumped on Pilling Lane and has been taken away for forensic testing.

Police said no-one was injured but the property was damaged.

They are now looking at CCTV from the area.

Officers have also been carrying out house-to-house inquiries and anyone with information is being urged to contact them.
