Paula Clinton death: Husband pleads not guilty to murder

The husband of a woman found stabbed to death in a Merseyside street is to go on trial accused of her murder.

Police discovered the body of 48-year-old Paula Clinton on Felsted Drive, Aintree, on 28 November.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died from multiple stab wounds.

John Clinton, 51 and of Felsted Drive, was charged with her murder in December. He has appeared at Liverpool Crown Court where he entered a plea of not guilty.

Mr Clinton was remanded in custody.

A trial is due to start on 4 June and last up to seven days.
