Geoffrey Allan charged with Egremont Promenade murder

A man has been charged with the murder of a man on a Merseyside promenade.

Mark Reissing, 48, from Wallasey, died of multiple injuries on Egremont Promenade in New Brighton on 9 July.

Geoffrey Allen, 40, of Church Road, Halewood has been charged with murder and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Christopher Halpin, 30, of Roscommon Street, Everton and Anthony Staff, 23, of Charlotte Road, Wallasey have been charged with assisting an offender.

All three are due before Wirral magistrates on Thursday.

A man, 46, from Wallasey, was previously charged with Mr Reissing's murder.
