Man dies after M62 car crash in Merseyside

A driver, in his 40s, has died after his Mini left a motorway in Merseyside on Thursday evening.

Merseyside Police said the crash happened on the eastbound carriageway of the M62 near Bowring Park Golf Course, just before 18:55 BST.

Emergency services found the driver of the black Mini convertible with serious injuries and he died later in hospital.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said officers were seeking CCTV from the area.
