Two men have been arrested and bailed over the "cold-blooded" fatal shooting of a Liverpool man last year.

Jamie Starkey was shot several times as he left his house in Higher Lane, Fazakerley, on 2 December.

A 40-year-old man and a 28-year-old, both from Everton, were arrested following searches of three addresses in Everton and one in Kirkby.

Police said Mr Starkey was shot by a lone male, who fled across fields, in a "calculated shooting".

Officers described the killing as "cold-blooded".
