Man remanded on murder charge over Whiston pedestrian death

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a pedestrian who was killed when he was hit by a car on Merseyside.

Michael Fennah, 52, was struck in Scott Avenue, Whiston, on Tuesday morning. He was treated by paramedics at the scene but was later pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Fennah died from of head injuries.

Nathan Kenny, 33, of Whiston, was remanded by magistrates to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday.
