A man suspected of inappropriately touching women on buses on Merseyside is being sought by police.

The first incident happened on 20 September 2013, at 18:20 BST after a 27-year-old woman got on a bus in the city centre to Huyton.

She was touched on the leg by a man who was sitting next to her. The man tried to block her from leaving her seat.

A second incident took place on 27 December 2013, at 13:10 GMT on a bus in the city.

A 21-year-old woman had boarded the bus at Queen Square to Southport when a man inappropriately touched her leg during the journey.

The man grabbed her as she got off the bus.

On both occasions, the women called police and the victims were left shaken. Merseyside Police said they believe the two incidents are linked.

Det Insp Andy Black said: "These must have been distressing incidents for both women involved. No-one should be subjected to such behaviour."
