Two men arrested at Manchester Airport over Aintree stab murder
Two men have been arrested at Manchester Airport in connection with the death of a man who was found with stab wounds in a Merseyside street.
The pair aged 25, from Walton, in Liverpool were stopped from boarding a flight to Amsterdam at about 06:00 BST.
Anthony Duffy, 33, of Kirkby, died in hospital after being found unconscious in Melling Avenue, Aintree, on Tuesday.
John Derek Hore, 53, of Caldy Road, Liverpool has been charged with murder. The two other men are in custody.
Mr Hore was remanded by magistrates to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 13 June.
The two men arrested at Manchester Airport are being questioned by detectives on Merseyside.
