Terravision Coach driver held over biker death in Liverpool

A coach driver has been arrested after his coach heading for Liverpool John Lennon Airport collided with a motorcyclist who later died.

Police said the Terravision company driver, 53, was held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The biker, a 35-year-old Widnes man, died in hospital after being hit in Hale Road, Liverpool, at 08:20 BST.

The coach was on its way from Manchester when the crash took place minutes away from the airport.
