Anfield bus crash: Driver had suffered 'medical episode'

The driver of a bus that crashed into a house in Liverpool, injuring eight passengers, had suffered a "medical episode", police said.

The incident happened at about 10:30 BST on Walton Breck Road, close to Liverpool FC's Anfield stadium.

The driver and passengers from the single-decker bus were taken to hospital suffering minor injuries.

Police later revealed that a cannabis farm had been found in a house close to the crash site.

No-one is thought to have been in the buildings at the time.

Road closures were still in place at 17:00 BST, and drivers were advised to avoid the area while gas engineers assessed the damage.
