Ten people have been arrested and drugs with an estimated street value of £10,000 have been seized in a series of dawn raids in Merseyside.

A replica firearm was found in Birkdale during one of the 13 searches.

Crack cocaine and heroin were discovered while, in a separate operation, a cannabis farm was discovered in Litherland.

Earlier this week, drugs with an estimated street value of £750,000 were seized in raids across Merseyside.

Police said what appeared to be a long-barelled pistol was seized but after examination it was found to be an imitation firearm.

A woman, 39, and a 46-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
