Waterloo house murder suspect arrested

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found at a house in Merseyside.

The discovery was made after emergency services were called to East Street, Waterloo, at about 02:45 BST on Saturday, Merseyside Police said.

The force said the death was being treated as "unexplained" at this stage, and a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out.

A 33-year-old woman, from Waterloo, was arrested and released on bail.

The man's family have been informed, a police spokesman added.
