Doorman stabbed outside St Helens bar was 'good guy and a gent'
A doorman who was stabbed to death outside a St Helens bar was a 'good guy and gent', said his employers.
Daniel Fox, 29, from St Helens, was found with a knife wound in Westfield Street and North John Street at about 03:20 BST.
Merseyside Police launched a murder investigation after Mr Fox was attacked outside Dreem Bar where he worked.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place later when he will be formally identified.
A spokesperson for the bar said: "We have lost one of the most adored door lads in town, all Dreem Bar staff are in utter disbelief.
"No one in the whole of St Helens could say one bad word about our blue eyes.
"He really was a good guy and a gent".
