Seaforth school intruder case: Man charged
A man has been charged in connection with an incident involving an armed intruder at a school.
Officers were called at 16:15 BST on Friday after a man gained entry to Rimrose Hope Church of England Primary School in Seaforth, Merseyside.
A member of staff suffered a minor arm injury but no children were injured.
A 31-year-old man has been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, assault, possessing a bladed article, assaulting a police constable and criminal damage.
His charges relate to a number of unconnected incidents in Liverpool and Sefton between 16 May and 16 June this year, Merseyside Police said.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
