Thousands in Liverpool for Armed Forces Day celebrations

Thousands of people have lined the streets of Liverpool for Armed Forces Day celebrations.

A gun salute at the Pier Head and an RAF Typhoon flypast signalled the start of the march of soldiers, sailors, airmen, veterans and cadets.

Liverpool was the focus of national events to mark the day.
