Two police officers hurt in crash in Stevenage

Two police officers were treated for minor injuries after their car crashed on the way to an incident in Hertfordshire.

The car is believed to have collided with a barrier on Six Hills Way, Stevenage, on Wednesday night, police said.

An ambulance and the fire and rescue service were called and the two officers were taken to hospital.

Officers are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone with information about the crash, which happened near the junction with Colestrete at 2220 BST, is asked to contact police.

A section of Six Hills Way was closed and diversions were put in place while investigations took place at the scene.
