Freezing temperatures in Norfolk bring driving warning

Drivers in Norfolk have been warned to take extra care on the roads following freezing temperatures overnight.

Norfolk County Council urged motorists to be careful and allow extra time for their journeys.

A wintry shower fell at about 1800 GMT on Tuesday and freezing temperatures have made many roads very icy.

Queensway Nursery in Thetford is shut because of a broken boiler but the infants school is open as normal and no other closures have been reported.

No further snowfall is predicted for Wednesday but it is expected to remain cold with sunny intervals.
