Norwich man David Cawston remanded on airgun charges

A man has been remanded in custody after a firearms incident at a house near Norwich.

David Cawston, 45, of Badger Road, New Costessey, is charged with two counts of possession of an air weapon with intent to cause fear or violence.

He was arrested after a stand-off at a house in New Costessey which ended on 6 May after 32 hours of negotiations.

At Norwich Magistrates' Court Mr Cawston was told he would face a plea and directions hearing on 1 August.
