Human remains find in Norfolk forest not suspicious

The discovery of human remains in a Norfolk forest is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Norfolk Police were called to an isolated location in Thetford Forest, near Mundford, on 10 June, after a call from a member of the public.

Police believe the remains are those of a man from Eastbourne, Sussex, who was reported missing in February 2006.

The next of kin of the missing man has been informed and formal identification procedures will take place.

The matter has been referred to the coroner.
