Woman charged with Norfolk animal shelter murder

A 49-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a man found dead at an animal shelter in Norfolk.

Catherine Hodges, of Buxton Road, Horstead, near Norwich has been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in the city on Wednesday.

Police were called to Botanybay Farm, Shortthorn Road, Stratton Strawless, near Norwich on Sunday where they found the body of 59-year-old John Loveday.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Norfolk police have referred the case to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
