Inquest into Norfolk animal shelter death opened

An inquest has opened into the death of a 59-year-old man whose body was found at an animal shelter in Norfolk.

Police called to Botanybay Farm, Shortthorn Road, Stratton Strawless on 12 June found the body of John Loveday.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died of multiple gunshot wounds, Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court was told.

Catherine Hodges, 49, of Buxton Road, Horstead, near Norwich, is remanded in custody charged with his murder.

The inquest hearing was adjourned.
