Beach improvements get under way at Happisburgh

Improvement work at a Norfolk beach resort is due to get under way.

North Norfolk District Council will begin what they said was major work to improve the beach and the cliff top area at Happisburgh on Monday.

A new pedestrian access will be built, along with toilets, a car park and debris will be removed from the beach.

For environmental reasons the works need to be carried out over the summer and are due to be completed by September, a council spokesman said.

People visiting the area are asked to take care while the work takes place.

The beach will remain open to the north and south of the village.
