Four arrested after rave in Suffolk forest raided by police

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of running an unauthorised event after police raided a rave in a Suffolk forest area on Sunday morning.

Three men from Bury St Edmunds aged 23, 25 and 27 and a 25-year-old woman from the local area are being held at the town's police station.

Officers were called to West Stow by Norfolk Police who received information about a rave in The King's Forest.

A cordon was set up and vehicles trying to get to the rave were turned away.

Supt Terry Byford said: "Suffolk Police will not tolerate raves and the damage and nuisance they cause.

"Anyone organising a rave will face prosecution for holding such an event.

"We will also seek to prosecute anyone attending a rave who commits other offences, such as damage."
