Essex men charged with false imprisonment and wounding

Two men have been charged with false imprisonment and wounding in connection with an incident in Westcliff-on-Sea.

The men, aged 27 and 44, are both from Westcliff. The 27-year-old is also charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A third man, 33, is on bail but wanted by police in connection with the incident in Fairfax Drive on 13 March.

The victim, a 57-year-old man from Southend, was treated in hospital after the incident.

His injuries included a fractured kneecap but has since recovered.

Both men are bailed to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on 31 August.
