A teenager has admitted causing the death of a 15-year-old boy by dangerous driving in a crash in Norfolk.

Luke Barnes, 18, of Gorleston, was driving a Ford Fiesta which was being followed by police when it hit a wall in High Street, Caister.

Ryan Youngman, a passenger in the car, died in the crash on 2 February.

Barnes appeared at Norwich Crown Court and also admitted causing death by dangerous driving while uninsured, and aggravated vehicle taking.

He is due to be sentenced on 12 December.

The family of Ryan, who was also from Gorleston, described him at the time as a "cheeky, lovable, normal teenager".

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating the incident and is yet to publish its findings.
